Clough is pleased to announce the appointment of Joel Stringer as Executive Vice President, Operations – Buildings reporting to Richard Graham. Joel’s appointment is part of the strategic growth plans for the combined Webuild and Clough Australian business into new market segments.

Joel brings with him over 25 years of Tier 1 design and construction experience across Australia. Over his career, Joel has successfully delivered major projects and held business leadership roles with a focus on strategy, new business, project management and delivery.

Joel’s passion for inspiring and developing teams, paired with his extensive experience and capabilities delivering projects in the local market will support our continued growth in Australia.

Peter Bennett, CEO, said: “I am pleased to welcome Joel to the business as the operational lead for our Building function. Our growth into this market aligns with our strategy to expand our position in the infrastructure market in Australia. Joel’s strong relationships and expertise in the Building market, as well as his proven track record delivering major projects, will support our growth in this new infrastructure stream.”

Joel Stringer, Executive Vice President, Operations - Buildings, said; “I am excited to join Clough, part of the global Webuild Group, and look forward to working with the team to grow the Building function for the business, creating key partnerships with government agencies, private sector clients, contractors, consultants and other key stakeholders to help solve their complex challenges and build sustainable infrastructure for future generations.”

Outside of his role, Joel dedicates his time to supporting an independent industry charity that supports homeless youth, the Property Industry Foundation. Having sat on the NSW Board of Advisors for the Foundation since 2017, Joel has seen firsthand the tangible impact the property and construction sector can have on youth homelessness through the funding and creation of accommodation for young people, and making a positive impact is a value that Joel shares with Clough.

Based in Sydney, Joel commenced in early April and will have a national remit.
