Gary Bowtell joined Clough in July 2010 with more than 25 years experience in the development and execution of oil and gas projects.

Gary has worked internationally in Brunei, Japan and Italy, in both onshore and offshore capacities.   Prior to joining Clough he was General Manager, Development and Engineering for Woodside’s LNG Development Division. He has also held senior engineering and management roles with Shell Petroleum and Worley Parsons.

As Executive Vice President, Engineering, Gary oversees all of Clough’s engineering efforts, including the company’s involvement in Ocean Flow International and Peritus International. 

Max Bergomi

Executive Vice President Business Acquisition

Max Bergomi joined Clough in February 2008 in the role of Executive General Manager, Business Acquisition and was promoted to the role of Executive Vice President in February 2009. With an engineering background, Max brings significant global experience in engineering, project management and commercial responsibilities primarily in the oil and gas industry sector. His prior experience includes senior positions with Saipem and Maverick Tube Corporation in Milan, Houston, Jakarta and London.

Rajiv Ratneser

General Counsel

Raj Ratneser is a practicing solicitor and has been one of Clough’s legal counsel since March 2004. He was most recently Head of Legal for the Capital Projects and Asset Support business lines.

Raj has over 10 years of legal experience in both dispute resolution as well as front end contract negotiation of large capital projects. He has extensive experience and knowledge in Clough’s major forms of contracting strategy including EPC, EPCM and Alliancing. He has been heavily involved with the negotiation and administration of many of Clough’s project contracts including in the oil and gas, civil infrastructure and mining and minerals markets.

Nathan Rowden

Human Resources Manager

Nathan commenced with Clough in June 2006 as the Human Resource Manager working within the Offshore Oil and Gas business.

Prior to joining Clough, Nathan has undertaken various Human Resource and Employee Relations Advisory and Management roles for CCIWA, Rio Tinto, WMC Resources and BHP Billiton in Australia. During the period 2001 to 2004, Nathan also worked as a HR Manager in the transport industry in the United Kingdom.

Nathan has experience in both operational site and non site HR roles and in managing the challenges associated with diverse workforces within the mining, engineering, oil and gas and construction industries.

In his role as Human Resource Manager, Nathan is responsible for managing the complete HR function for Clough, incorporating project human resources, learning and development, recruitment and industrial relations across Clough’s Australian and international operations.

Dennis Bagnoche

HSE Manager

Dennis joined Clough in August 2008 bringing 26 years of Health, Safety and Environmental Management experience in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Power Industries to his role as HSE Manager.

Prior to joining Clough Dennis has worked as a HSE Supervisor, Manager and Director for major construction firms including KBR and Technip in a variety of locations including the US, Middle East and South East Asia.

Dennis is a Certified Safety Professional, a Member of the Safety Institute of Australia and a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Barry Howard

General Manager - Assurance

Barry Howard joined Clough in June 2009 and comes with 25 years of international oil and gas experience, previously with Leighton, Transocean Inc. and KBR.

Barry commenced his career within the shipbuilding industry, followed by roles within oil and gas EPC and drilling contractors. With a project execution background, Barry has extensive experience in the control of Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities on projects for the leading oil and gas operators, including Amerada Hess, Shell, BP, ConocoPhillips and Petrobras, operating out of Europe, South America and Asia.

Leading the business improvement and assurance team, Barry has responsibility for delivery of Clough’s management system and management of all Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Internal Audit – Finance, assurance activities.  He also acts as the focal point for Clough’s Business Improvement program.
